Marks and Spencer shoppers snap up 'fantastic' garden furniture set with up to £125 off

From a 'perfect' outdoor sofa to 'very comfortable' armchairs, the bestselling Capri set now has 25% off in the M&S summer sale

The Marks & Spencer summer sale is officially under way, and things are selling fast as shoppers head online or straight to their nearest store to grab some bargains before they go.

The high street favourite is offering major discounts on the likes of furniture, homeware, clothing and beauty, with thousands of items going for up to 50% off for a limited time. The retailer's Capri collection has proven particularly popular with customers - and the stylish range currently has 25% off the likes of armchairs, sofas and tables. Currently number one in the retailer's garden furniture sale is the Capri Garden Coffee Table, which is now priced at £187 - saving shoppers around £62 compared to its usual price.

The table has a rating of 4.9 out of five stars, with several people praising its sturdiness and saying that it looks great indoors or in a conservatory too - making it ideal for all this unsettled 'summer' weather. It can also be paired up with the second-top bestseller in the garden sale, which is the matching Capri Garden Armchair - now priced at £224.25 down from £399.

Made with a solid teak base, the seat of the chair is "hardy" synthetic wicker that can keep you comfy when lounging outdoors while also being able to withstand the elements, according to M&S. The chair has a rating of 4.4 out of five stars, with most shoppers seeming pleased with their purchase - although some complained that they were tricky to assemble and the fact that there aren't matching covers available.

One satisfied shopper wrote: "This is a really comfortable chair without a cushion. Very good quality and value for money."

And someone else said: "Bought to go with the matching sofa. The chairs are really smart, and very comfortable. The product is well made and very attractive. Was worried about the lack of cushions, but a small lumbar cushion works well, and I can choose my own designs."

Meanwhile, the Capri Garden Sofa has been reduced from £499 down to £375.25, saving shoppers an impressive £124.75 in the sale. M&S customers have given the sofa 4.7 out of five stars overall, with one person writing: "Well made, comfortable sofa. Looks fabulous on our patio. Love it."

Another pleased customer described it as the 'perfect' outdoor sofa, saying in their review: "I've had this sofa just over a year now and it looks just as good as it did when new . Very tasteful and stylish." However, one shopper who gave it three stars warned that it was difficult to put together, as they found that the screw holes on their sofa didn't align correctly.
